Field Trip #6 MoMA

When creating the theme of my exhibit I chose the theme of color. Without out color there is no feeling to a piece of artwork. Color makes certain things look lively and other colors can do the exact opposite. My exhibit shows how color can define or make a work interesting. The first piece I found to be very interesting was called "Figurengruppe" by Katharina Fritsch. The were just average sculptures but the different colors , epically the purple and highlighter yellow had brought more life the sculptures. One of my all time favorites is Andy Warhol "Gold Marilyn Monroe" Any Warhol has to be one of my favorite artist just because he away incorporates different colors in his pieces. They tend to make his artwork look more abstract and keeps your attention. The pieces Ive looked are all similar because they dont include just one color and relate conceptually. These paintings remind me of myself due to the fact that when it comes to wearing clothes I always try to mix colors together or we a brighter color to bring something out more.
